Limit 12 students. Ages: 18+
Course Objectives:
Students will learn painting techniques for flowers and mountains. Students will complete a realistic landscape and abstract representational painting. Students will complete a mountain painting using a pallet knife only. Demonstration of different paint applications and techniques will be provided.
Supply List: (Students, please bring your own)
11" x 14" or 12"x12" stretched canvas
Brushes: Long Handle Brushes, 2 flats size 6 and 10, 2 rounds size 6 and 8
Acrylic paints (minimum size is 2.5 oz tubes)
Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow
Ultramarine Blue
Cadmium Red
Burnt Umber
Cadmium Orange (Optional)
Dioxazine Purple (Optional)
Sap Green (Optional)
Retarder 8 oz. (Optional)
Palette (disposable pad or flat wooden)
2 Palette Knives
One roll of paper towels
• 1" Masking Tape
• Ruler, Pencil #2B, Eraser
2 Plastic Jars for water (you may use empty yogurt container)
